From cosy movie nights in our in-house cinema, endless fun in the games room, to creative adventures at our exciting kids’ club, Coconuts, we’ve thought of everything to make your family holiday both fun and stress free.
What’s more, THE NICI is just a stone’s throw from some of the UK’s biggest, best-loved attractions. Spend the day making magical memories at Paultons Park, explore the beauty at the award-winning New Forest National Park, or dive into the family activities and events happening nearby throughout the year.
Family Rooms
Our Family Rooms feature a super-king bed plus two additional single beds, so you can sleep up to four. Modern, bright and Miami-styled, our bedrooms are perfect for the family. Our family rooms also include free Wi-Fi, a Nespresso coffee machine and a flat screen TV.
Choose from our Inland Family Rooms or our Family Annexe Rooms, which are separate from the main hotel with their own entrance and also invite furry friends to stay.
FEBRUARY HALF TERM
This February half term, swap the school run for sea views and make the most of your family getaway. The little ones can enjoy activities and games at our Coconuts Kids Club throughout the holiday, while you relax and take in the coast. With stays from £157 per night, there’s even more reason to escape. Think crisp winter walks, cosy moments, and plenty of fun by the sea.
Coconuts – THE NICI Kids Club
The home of on-site fun and games, Coconuts – THE NICI Kids Club – is open for our little VIPs aged 4+. Running every weekend and throughout school holidays, Coconuts is the perfect place for kids to let their imaginations run wild with arts and crafts, music and more. With the magic touch of local Children’s Entertainer Minky Moos, the club is designed to keep young guests entertained, engaged, and smiling – giving parents the chance to relax and enjoy some much-needed peace and quiet.
Kids Club Supervision Policy
Children aged 5 years and over may be left in the care of our Kids Club team once the required registration forms have been completed. Parents or guardians must remain on the hotel premises at all times and be easily contactable.
Children aged 4 years and under are very welcome to enjoy the Kids Club facilities; however, a parent or guardian must stay at the kids club with them at all times.
Family Fun Entertainment and Swimming
The little (and big) kids will be entertained at THE NICI, whatever the weather, with our in-house cinema showing family-friendly movies and a games room. Let them get lost in the magic of film whilst snacking on popcorn.
We also offer swimming at our indoor pool for little ones as well as a children’s playroom with video games, books and board games.
Please note that the children’s splash times for the indoor pool are as follows:
Daily: 9am – 10am & 4pm – 5pm
Water Sports
Why not try something new this holiday? From bodyboards to kayaks, there is an adventure for every ability!
The Shaka Surf, just a few minutes from THE NICI, has an array of watersports to suit all ages and skill levels – whether you’re looking to ride the waves, paddle at your own pace, or simply splash about in the sunshine. Rentals begin at £9 an hour.
This is a chargeable service, subject to availability and must be organised with Shaka Surf directly.

At what age can children stay at The NICI?
Yes, we accept children to stay at The NICI. Supervised children over the age of 4 are able to take part in our kids’ club, and all ages are welcome in the swimming pool. We invite all families to stay and enjoy the Bournemouth coast.
Do you have any cots or amenities for babies?
We have cots available for use at no extra cost, as well as changing tables in the toilets in the restaurant. If you would like to add a cot to our room, get in touch with us when booking your stay.
What times are children allowed in the restaurant and bar?
Children are allowed in the restaurant and bar at all times with an adult.
Are there any extra charges for children?
There are no extra charges for children to stay at The NICI, but we would recommend one of our family rooms.
