Highly respected travel journalist Mark O’Flaherty has changed his views on seaside stays, with a visit to THE NICI.
“My bedroom was pretty much perfect, with a huge bathtub, a shower room full of navy-blue Malin+Goetz products and a terrace with a couple of loungers. Apart from the body wash and the art, everything was white, white, white.”
He says of his visit, “I always find the English seaside disappointing – but this place changed my mind”. With the outdoor pool and new spa to open spring 2023, Mark says if its competition, “the plan is to replace it all with an infinity pool. When that’s realised, the terrace bar, with its fringed parasols, will be one of the best places to spend a sunny afternoon in the whole country.”
“I’d go for a week. It’s everything the English seaside could and should be.”
